Justin Horn leads Fort Washington Generals to 15-3 victory with 2 hits, 2 RBIs and closing out the game with a scoreless inning on the mound. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the sixth inning.
Horsham couldn’t get anything going so long as starter Tommy Reilly and reliever Justin Horn were on the hill. Tommy Reilly pitched 5 strong innings to earn the win striking out 2 and limiting Horsham to 2 hits. Horn closed the game with a 1-2-3 inning including a game ending strike out.
The Generals set the tone by plating 5 runs in their half of the first. Justin Horne led off and was hit by a pitch, and the 3-4-5 batters drew 3 consecutive walks, which combined with steals, scored 2 runs until singles by Mike Reilly and Max Weinberg drove in the remaining 3 runs. After started Tommy Reilly set down Horsham in their half of the first, Fort Washington added 2 more runs in the top of the second, and another 2 runs in the top of the third to take a commanding 9-0 lead. The Generals put the game away with 6 runs in the top of the sixth, sending 12 batters to the plate. RBI singles by Thomas Juelke, Matt Hebling, Jason Greene and Max Weinberg were followed by a long double by Justin Horn.
This was originally a double header, but the Horsham team forfeited the second game as they didn’t have enough players. With these wins, the Generals improve to 3-0 in league play.
