David Keller threw a complete game as the Generals topped Southampton 4-0. Keller shut down the Southampton batters striking out 12 batters and allowing only 1 hit. He also scored a run.
The Generals got out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first on singles by Mike Reilly and Tommy Reilly with Thomas Juelke driving in Reilly on a ground ball. The Generals added to the lead in the bottom of the third. The inning started with David Keller and Mike Reilly reaching base on a walk and hit batter. They both scored. The Generals scored their fourth and final run in the top of the fourth. Joey Monaghan opened the inning with a double and advanced to third and scored on passed balls. The Generals did manage to load the bases in the bottom of the fifth but were unable to get any more runs across.
Mike Reilly, Tommy Reilly, Noel Franczyk, Thomas Juelke, Joey Monaghan all collected hits for the Generals.
With the win, Fort Washington improves to 6-3 in the league, with an important double header against first place Jenkintown, home, on Sunday.
