Fort Washington Generals Uses Big Third Inning To Beat Morelanders, 11-2. A six-run explosion in the third inning carried Fort Washington Generals to an 11-2 win in seven innings over Morelanders on Sunday.
The Generals opened the game with a double to left center by Justin Horn. He stole 3rd and scored on a passed ball. JT Breslin, who had reached base on a fielders choice, scored as well, ending the first 2-0. The Generals increased the lead to 5-0. Thomas Juelke started the inning by being hit by a pitch and was driving in on a single by Danny Groff, Groff was driven in on a single by Tommy Reilly and Horn scored as well. In the third inning, the Generals pushed 6 runs across, on hits by Mike Reilly, Max Weinberg, Justin Horn, Tommy Reilly, JT Breslin and again (2 in the inning) Mike Reilly. Justin Horn also scored Fort Washington Generals scored in the third on a sacrifice fly by Dan Groff, an RBI single by Justin Horn, an RBI single by Tom Reilly, an error, a passed ball, and an RBI single by Mike Reilly. Horn went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for Fort Washington Generals.
Chris Kelly racked up five strikeouts in the Fort Washington Generals win. Kelly allowed one earned run on five hits and no walks over five innings. Noel Franczyk and JT Breslin also pitched 1 inning for the Generals.
Sean O’Connor took the loss for Morelanders. He allowed 11 runs in three innings, walked three and struck out one.
