Fort Washington Generals Claws Back, But Falls Just Short Against Lower Southampton

Fort Washington Generals fought back after falling down by seven runs in the sixth inning. The comeback fell just short though, in an 11-10 defeat to Lower Southampton on Saturday. Fort Washington Generals scored six runs in the failed comeback on a walk by Joey Monaghan, a wild pitch , a single by Matt Hebling, a by Albert John, and a stolen base.

Fort Washington Generals fell behind early in the loss. Lower Southampton scored on a triple by PlayerF and a groundout by PlayerI in the second inning.

Fort Washington Generals took an early lead in the first inning. Fort Washington Generalsscored one run on a stolen base in the first inning.

Lower Southampton took the lead for good with four runs in the second inning. In the second PlayerF tripled off of Garret Breslin, driving in two runs and there was an error, scoring two runs.

Fort Washington Generals scored six runs in the sixth inning. Fort Washington Generals‘s big inning was driven by a walk by Joey Monaghan, a wild pitch , a single by Matt Hebling, and a stolen base.

Breslin took the loss for Fort Washington Generals. He threw five innings, giving up seven runs, nine hits, striking out seven, and walking zero.

Justin Horn led Fort Washington Generals with two hits in two at bats. Fort Washington Generals tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Horn led the way with two.

Lower Southampton had 12 hits in the game. PlayerF, PlayerB, and PlayerK each collected multiple hits for Lower Southampton.
