Fort Washington Generals defeated Hunt. Valley 4-1 on Sunday.
Fort Washington Generals took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Jake Dianno hit a sacrifice fly to drive in a run, Owen Lawn tripled off of Eric Schwarz, driving in one run, and Schwarz uncorked a wild pitch, scoring one run.
Noel Franczyk earned the win for Fort Washington Generals. He pitched seven innings, allowing one run, three hits, striking out six, and walking one. Schwarz took the loss for Hunt. Valley. He went six innings, allowing four runs, six hits, striking out two, and walking zero.
Dianno, Lawn, and Justin Horn’s base hit bunt single each drove in one run to lead Fort Washington Generals. Fort Washington Generals didn’t commit a single error in the field. Dianno had the most chances in the field with six.
Coleman Peppelman went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Hunt. Valley in hits. Jack Jamison had 2 hits for the Fort and Brian McPeak, Noel Franczyk and JT Breslin also had singles.
Defensively JT Breslin made a spectacular diving catch and Owen Lawn from right field threw out the 5th opponent at first base this year.
